The Operations Coordinator provides operational support in all aspects of the Community Engagement & Public Service unit in the College of Nursing; collects, interprets, prepares, maintains and compiles information in order to produce unit reports and inform the College Administrative team; schedules meetings and events; maintains the Associate Dean’s calendar; makes travel arrangements; prepares correspondence on behalf of the Associate Dean; serves as the unit liaison with internal and external constituents; maintains both electronic and physical files; prepares university forms and enters data into university and college systems; develops, reviews and implements policies and procedures for the unit; completes surveys and reports from internal and external agencies; manages contracts with various agencies (internal and external) to develop partnerships and schedule events as needed.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired from specialized training such as that acquired in two to three years of college, technical, vocational, trade or business school with coursework in a field related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require certification in the area of employment.
Bachelor's degree; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible experience related to office administration and operations; knowledge of University policies and procedures; familiarity with EBS financial transaction processing; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proofreading experience including correct usage of grammar, writing and editing skills; ability to multi-task and work independently; prior event planning experience; excellent customer service skills and must be detailed-oriented; familiarity with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
