Assist/Assoc Professor Health Programs
We are a pediatric primary and specialty care department dedicated to providing excellent patient care and medical education. Our faculty engage in a wide range of clinical and research activities, with the focus of improving the lives of the children we serve. The successful candidate will be devoted to a combination of clinical activities (including on-call duties) that will account for roughly 70% of their time. The remaining hours will be spent researching topics of interest; teaching at any level of medical education (pre-clerkship, clerkship, and residency) and participating in curriculum development; serving on Department, College, or University committees; and any special assignments given by the Chair.
This position is open to the Assistant and Associate professor levels. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Appropriately qualified candidates may be eligible for assistant directorship of the Lansing-area Pediatric Residency Program.
Applicants must have an MD or DO degree and one (1) to three (3) years' clinical practice experience. The successful candidate must hold current certification in General Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics (or be Board-eligible), and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Michigan and medical staff privileges at participating institutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs, experience teaching at one or more levels of medical education, and an interest in research.
