The College of Music seeks an instructor for a five-day course from May 14 through May 18, 2018. The course is described as Musicians Navigating the Funding Landscape. It is a five-day intensive, musician centered course surveying the ecology of grant support to sustain creative work. Students will learn about funding resources for composition and ensemble development, collaborative opportunities that emerge from institutional support, and acquire tools to write effective grant proposals. The course also covers crucial professional development practices for the contemporary performing artist through digital marketing and content marketing strategies.
Masters -English, history or equivalent
Candidates must have three or more years of teaching experience at the college level, as well as three or more years of marketing experience. Successful applicants must also have two or more years of grant writing experience in the arts, preferably in music, experience working with musicians, and expanding music programs.
