Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

The Broad College of Business (COB) is seeking an innovative, collaborative marketing coordinator to support the Marketing & Communications team. The successful candidate will coordinate content/marketing-related deliverables, monitor marketing technologies and effectiveness of marketing campaigns, manage search engine optimization efforts, and provide general support to members of the MarCom team as they create and distribute high-quality and effective print, digital, and social content, presentations, and other materials for both internal and external audiences.

The ideal candidate will take initiative, yet work collaboratively with a high-volume, high-energy team of college stakeholders, following MSU and COB brand standards. Other responsibilities for the position include producing, reviewing and editing materials; assisting with website and landing page management; web content development;  interacting with college stakeholders; assisting with office administration; and traveling/performing other duties as needed to support the unit goals.


Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year degree program in marketing, advertising, communications or related fields;  up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in marketing, advertising, social media, and marketing technologies including Google Analytics. Demonstrated success with creating engaging PowerPoint presentations. Knowledge of best practices in design and user experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with: Adobe Creative Cloud; managing major social media platforms and tools such as HootSuite; WordPress or similar website development and management systems; iModules, or similar mailing platforms. Preferred/Desired skills are for those having two to three years’ work experience and  have some or all of the following experiences/skills: graphic design, SEO, Salesforce/Pardot, writing/editing compelling content, photography, videography, digital asset management. Ability and attention to detail required to successfully manage projects and vendor relationships and coordinate campaign efforts.

Work Hours
