The Michigan State University College of Nursing is accepting applications for a forward thinking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who has experience or an interest in anesthesia education and clinical practice to join our growing program. This position includes opportunities for teaching, curriculum development, scholarship and clinical practice. This is a twelve-month, fixed term faculty position. Specific position responsibilities include but are not limited to providing didactic and clinical instruction to nurse anesthesia students; develop and implement curriculum as assigned by the Program Director; assist the Program Director in the coordination of doctoral projects; participate in the recruitment, selection and admission of applications; participate in college and program strategic planning and evaluation; support and facilitate a culturally, racially and ethnically diverse education environment; represent the program at local, state and national meetings; participate in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of program policies and procedures; ensure adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the College Student Handbooks; fulfills the performance indicators for the College of Nursing and Michigan State University as per faculty rank and supports university-wide initiatives and strategic goals by participation in university committees, task forces and other venues as assigned or desired.
Doctorate -in Nursing or related field
In addition to a doctorate in nursing or related field; active certification/recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA); at least two years of clinical experience as a CRNA; knowledge of CRNA practice and professional issues; current speciality licensure without probationary status in the State of Michigan (CRNA) or eligible to obtain a Michigan license.
Higher education teaching experience is desired.
